- New partners drive Simon-Kucher’s international growth
Press ReleaseNov 29 2012 - The global strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has appointed six new partners effective January 1, 2013. This raises the total number to 63.
All new partners are based in offices outside of the firm’s home market of Germany, continuing Simon-Kucher’s international growth. “Appointing six new international partners fits perfectly with our strategy of globalization,” state co-CEOs Dr. Georg Tacke and Dr. Klaus Hilleke.
To meet the increasing demand in international markets, Simon-Kucher recently opened offices in Dubai and Istanbul and will further expand its activities in the Latin American market with offices in São Paulo and Santiago de Chile, slated to open in 2013.
- James Brown (37), based in London, specializes in B2B contract pricing, sales force and pricing interaction. Working with UK and international clients, his work at Simon-Kucher over the last three years has focused on mid-cap private equity-owned companies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown spent eleven years in industry roles.
- Joshua Bloom (31), based in Simon-Kucher’s San Francisco office, specializes in marketing, pricing, and sales. He advises software and construction companies of all sizes, ranging from public Fortune 500 companies to private equity-owned businesses to start-ups. Mr. Bloom has been a frequent conference speaker on topics as varied as B2B pricing, bundling, target pricing, and sales excellence.
- Hong-May Cheng (38) has over 14 years of experience in the field of strategic marketing and commercial excellence. Based in Amsterdam, he specializes in developing new business and portfolio concepts, value-based pricing strategies and value selling. Aside from conducting and leading large projects, Mr. Cheng is a frequent conference speaker and the author of numerous articles. He holds a Master’s of Science degree of the University of Twente, The Netherlands.
- Michael Kuehn (37) specializes in strategic marketing, international pricing and reimbursement strategies as well as in the pharmaceutical retail market. Based in the firm's New York City office, he also heads Simon-Kucher’s financial investor and business development support initiative. The goal of this initiative is to support partnering and licensing discussions and the valuation of portfolio assets.
- Bert Sebastian Strasmann (34), working out of the firm’s London and Cologne offices, is an expert in marketing and price management as well as in margin and revenue steering and controlling in B2B industries. He specializes in the construction, commodity and building technology sectors in Europe, the US and Asia. Mr. Strasmann studied Business Administration at the RWTH Aachen, Germany and at the National University of Singapore.
- David Vidal (31), based in Simon-Kucher’s Paris office, specializes in value management, strategic pricing, marketing, and pricing optimization. He leads projects for retail and e-commerce clients as well as for the hotel and restaurant industry in the US, Europe and Asia. Mr. Vidal studied Business Administration at ESCP-EAP in Paris and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States.
