- 20th MEDICAL FAIR INDIA in Mumbai from 14 to 16 March 2014
Strong Partners to provide Support - Visitor Increase promises Successful Outlook All signs are positive for the
20th MEDICAL FAIR INDIA - India’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Hospitals, Health Centres and Clinics - to be held at the
Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre from 14 to 16 March. The 19th MEDICAL FAIR INDIA held in March 2013 already exceeded the organisers’ expectations with some
410 exhibitors from
21 countries and
7,600 trade visitors.
There are two important factors for the growing success of the MEDICAL FAIR INDIA. First of all, the close cooperation with the
Düsseldorf MEDICA. This is the world’s leading medical trade fair and it supports the development of and dialogue with additional target groups relevant to the Indian market. Secondly, the fact that
the Indian health care sector is one of the fastest growing service sectors. It already
contributes 6% to the Gross National Product, says the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. Studies show that
the Indian health care market will grow to US$ 100 million by 2015. The growth rate is expected to amount to 20% annually. Furthermore, the knowledge of the individual structure of the Indian health care market is decisive to mirroring the needs of the sector at a trade fair.
Messe Düsseldorf masters the challenges of the Indian health care market, pools its knowledge and identifies existing potential. It creates the optimum platform to bring together the relevant target groups from around the globe in order to exchange ideas on current topics, issues and objectives. In addition to its continuing rise in exhibition space, exhibitor and visitor numbers the MEDICAL FAIR INDIA has also succeeded in further expanding its well-established position as
the most important international medical event for the Indian market over the past few years. To honour this achievement it was presented with the
Health Care Award 2013 from MEDGATE TODAY - India’s biggest medical and health magazine (Advance Media Group). It was the first medical trade fair to receive the award.
Important local partners and partner associations will also be contributing to the success of the MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2014. Valuable support comes care of three of the most renowned Indian associations:
ADMI ?" Association of Diagnostic Manufacturers of India,
MSAHITA - Medical Surgical and Healthcare Industry Trade Association and the
Association of Medical Consultants - AMC. Worth a special mention here is the support of the
Indian Association of Sports Medicine and the
Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. They convinced themselves of the success of the trade fair and now want to be involved. Further cooperation partners are Indian hospitals such as the
Fortis Healthcare Limited and
Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals who were intrigued by the versatile product portfolio.
The MEDICAL FAIR INDIA is held every year alternately in
Mumbai or
New Delhi. It presents the entire cross-section of the segments medical device technology and hospital, health centres and clinical equipment, rehabilitation, fittings for pharmacies and dispensaries/furniture.
Exhibitors from over 20 countries can present themselves in an ideal setting. All of this is reflected in the high quality of trade visitors who gather information, network with business associates and order products at the trade fair.
